Dr. Fabio Savastano, a medical doctor and orthodontist, has dedicated his professional activity to the forefront of neuromuscular orthodontics, constantly pursuing innovation for the benefit of patients

. After earning his medical degree (University of Naples, 1987) and specialty degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (University of Padua, 1990)

, he focused on applying neuromuscular dentistry principles to orthodontics starting in 1988. He developed a unique orthodontic diagnostic and treatment protocol, defining Neuromuscular Orthodontics as a distinct branch of the orthodontic specialty (Brazil 1994).

His holistic vision emphasizes how optimal muscle function and occlusal alignment enhance masticatory function, reduce tension, and alleviate Craniocervical-Mandibular Dysfunctions (CMD) and Orofacial Pain. Dr. Savastano has consistently deepened his expertise through continuous training, lecturing globally since 1989 to over 1000 doctors

. He gained extensive experience in complex TMJ pathologies and maxillofacial surgery as a hospital consultant for 15 years

His commitment to the scientific community materialized with the founding of ICNOG (International College of Neuromuscular Orthodontics and Gnathology) in 2006

. More recently, he was appointed President of ICCMO Italy – International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics - Italian Section

Author of ten publications in scientific journals and the volume "Neuromuscular orthodontics, a clinical guide" published by Springer (2023) Dr. Savastano also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Director of the two Master’s Degree Programs (Neuromuscular Orthodontics / Neuromuscular and Aesthetic dentistry) at Universität Jaume I, Castellon, Spain
