Dr. Franco Guida is a highly experienced medical surgeon specializing in Odontostomatology, who has dedicated his extensive career to private practice, teaching, and scientific research in the dental field.
Academic and Educational Background
Dr. Guida's robust academic foundation began with his Medical and Surgical Degree, earned at the University of Genoa on October 5, 1981, promptly followed by his professional qualification on November 11, 1981. He further advanced his expertise by completing his Specialization in Odontostomatology on July 5, 1993. Throughout his training, he developed specialized skills in dental and prosthetic surgery, with a particular focus on treating patients facing masticatory dysfunction.

Professional Practice and Teaching Career
Since February 1, 1982, Dr. Guida has maintained a thriving private dental practice in Genoa, overseeing a dedicated team of employees and external collaborators. His professional commitment extends beyond clinical work; from 1983 to 1986, he shared his knowledge as a lecturer, teaching anatomy, hygiene, and masticatory biomechanics at the Istituto Parificato Electra's dental technician program.

  • Co-authored International Publications: He contributed to significant articles, including "Mandibular Total Prosthetics on Implants: Functional and Phonetic Balance" (1996) and "Detection of DNA Polymorphisms from Dental Pulp Stroma and Preservation of Morphological Data for Individual Identification" (1998). The latter resulted from his collaboration with the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Genoa and local insurance companies.
  • Recent Engagements: Dr. Guida has continued to be an active speaker, participating in events such as the 5th National C.O.I. - A.I.O.G. Congress in Termoli (2011) and presenting "Exemplification in Total Removable Prosthetics in Simple and Complex Cases" in Lecce and Genoa (2011). He also gave presentations on "Kinesiography in Dentistry" at pre-congress and national congress courses in Lecce (2011).
He was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his cultural contributions to a post-university refresher course on clinical dentistry at the University of Genoa, where he also earned a certificate of specialization in periodontal surgery and implantology (1997).
